Introduction to Yoga course – January 2025

Join this friendly course for an introduction to yoga, suitable for complete beginners or those returning to the practice after a break. This six-week course will help you build strength and flexibility, and discover the benefits for your mind and body.

This New Year, step into your yoga journey with a fun, welcoming environment where you can get to know this practice. Over the course of six sessions, this course will introduce you to key yoga poses and sequences, and familiarise you with the fundamentals of yoga.
Most importantly, this is an opportunity to find movement that works for your individual body. By the end of the six weeks, you will feel more confident to move through the poses in your own way, feel more in tune with your body and mind, and find more flexibility and strength. We will do all of this in a really open, welcoming and fun way - we will definitely giggle, and we will probably wiggle!! And you will leave with a sense of the holistic way that yoga can improve your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. I would love to see you there.
The course includes:
- 6 x 1 hour yoga sessions (hatha style)
- breathing and meditation techniques
- weekly support emails
- mid-point check-in

Please bring with you:
- Yoga mat
- Comfortable clothing suitable for yoga (movement and stretching) and layers for our cool-downs
- Props if you have them (blocks, bricks, straps) - if not, no worries!
- A water bottle
After registering, you will receive an email with full information to get you ready for the sessions and a course form to complete.

I provide lots of adaptations and modifications for the yoga poses in our practices for most abilities, however to get the most out of the course, I do recommend that you can get up and down off the floor without assistance.
If you book a place and are unable to attend for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible so that your place may be offered to someone else. Provided you have notified us more than 7 days in advance, you can receive a refund (less deposit / admin fee of £5.00). Cancellations with less than 7 days' notice and no-shows cannot be refunded.
